WHAT's INCLUDED IN EVERY SESSION?
Every session includes a pre-session consultation — we'll talk through the plan, location, timing, and anything on your mind. You'll receive professionally edited, high-resolution images with a print release, delivered through a private online gallery.
WHERE WILL MY SESSION BE HELD?
Outdoors or at your home — we'll decide together based on what feels right for your family. Some of my favorite sessions have happened in living rooms and backyards. If you have a place you love, tell me about it.
WHEN AND WHERE DO NEWBORN SESSIONS TAKE PLACE?
Newborn sessions happen at your home — where your baby is most comfortable, and where everything already smells and feels like yours. If you want to capture those very first hours, I can also come to your place of delivery.
As for timing — anytime within the first few months. The earlier, the rawer the emotion. Whenever you're ready.
WHAT SHOULD I WEAR?
I've put together a full guide for this — it covers everything from colors to layers to what to avoid.

CAN I BRING SOME IDEAS FOR A PHOTO SHOOT?
Definitely! Send me as many cell phone snaps of your ideas and outfit choices as you’d like. This will help me lot to understand your vision.
HOW DO YOU CHOOSE WHICH IMAGES GO INTO MY GALLERY?
I go through every single frame from our session and hand-select the ones that feel most alive — the real expressions, the quiet moments, the ones that look like your family. I'm also looking for images that represent my work honestly. The two usually point to the same photos.
You're guaranteed a minimum of 35 images, but there are almost always more.
CAN I GET RAW IMAGES?
Only edited, high-resolution JPGs — no exceptions. RAW files are my digital negatives and stay with me, the same way a film photographer keeps their negatives.
WILL I GET MY DIGITAL PHOTOS AFTER THE SESSION?
Yes — you'll receive a full collection of high-resolution digital files with a print release, delivered via download. At least 35 images, in both color and black and white. Usually more.
HOW DO I BOOK A SESSION?
Reach out via the contact form on this page, or email me directly at helgaphoto312@gmail.com. I'll get back to you shortly.
DO YOU OFFER MINI-SESSIONS?
No — and here's why. What I'm after isn't a single frame. It's the moment your kid forgets I'm there. The laugh that comes out of nowhere. The quiet in between. That takes time. A mini-session doesn't give us enough of it, and I'd rather not shoot at all than deliver something that doesn't feel like your family.
HOW FAR OUT ARE YOU BOOKED?
It depends on the season — weekends fill up one to three months out, but weekdays are usually more flexible.
For newborn and birth photography, reach out while you're still pregnant. That said, if you've just delivered — don't hesitate. I keep space in my schedule for last-minute newborn sessions.
HOW MUCH DOES ALL OF THIS COST?
The pricing is all-inclusive - one price for everything.
WHAT IF I'M NOT PHOTOGENIC?
Nobody is "not photogenic." That's just what happens when someone tells you to smile and stand still. I don't do that. My job is to make you forget I'm there — and photograph what's actually happening. The people who warn me they're awkward in front of a camera are usually my favorite subjects to shoot.
WHAT IF MY KIDS DON'T COOPERATE?
They won't — and that's fine. I'm not looking for cooperation. I'm looking for real. Chaos, running, ignoring me completely — that's where the best frames are. I've never left a session without images I love, and neither has a parent.
WHAT DO WE ACTUALLY DO DURING THE SESSION?
Mostly — just be together. Play, walk, talk, do whatever you'd normally do. I'll give you a loose direction if needed, but mostly I follow you. There's no posing, no "everyone look here." The less you think about the camera, the better the photos.
HOW LONG IS A SESSION?
Usually one to two hours. Long enough to let everyone settle in and forget about the camera — short enough to keep the energy up.
WHEN WILL I RECEIVE MY PHOTOS?
Your gallery will be ready within two weeks of our session.
